Envelope, Sugar, and $100,000

A pastor friend and I had a discussion. He told me the story of a peculiar visitor who graced a church with their presence. The man, full of admiration for the pastor and the deacon, expressed a desire to bless them with a gift. A simple enough gesture, right? Wrong. This tale takes a surprising turn.

The visitor handed the deacon a bag of sugar and an envelope. The instructions were clear: give the sugar to the pastor, keep the envelope. A short time later, the pastor arrived the deacon gave the pastor the bag of sugar and he kept the envelope. The envelope was opened, revealing a cool $10,000.  The pastor told the deacon he believed there was a misunderstanding and asked the deacon to give him the envelope and he gave the bag of sugar to the deacon. But the story doesn't end there.

When the deacon examined the bag of sugar, he discovered something truly astonishing: hidden within the bag of sugar was a whopping $100,000!

Now, here's the dilemma: Does the deacon return the money to the pastor, honoring the original donor's wishes, or does he keep it, given the pastor's insistence on the trade?
